Judy Weber

Registered Nurse

Judy Weber, RN has been a nurse for over 45 years, 42 of which have focused on Neurosurgery. Judy became an Operating Room Nurse in 1979. She went on to specialize in Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery and Stereotactic Radiosurgery. Over the years, she developed an international reputation as a leader in these subspecialties and held various positions, including Product Manager, Product Director and Vice President of Gamma Knife Operations with companies like Pfizer, Leibinger & Fischer of Freiburg, Germany, and USMM/ANI. In addition, Judy has been an invited speaker on topics associated with Stereotactic Neurosurgery and Radiosurgery in many universities, hospitals and professional meetings in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Central America.

In the latter part of her career, she became a Nurse Navigator in Neurosurgery at Ochsner Health. There she managed the Neurosurgery practice and developed patient and staff teaching materials and a complete lecture series on both the brain and the spine.

While she retired from practice in early 2024, she became intrigued after hearing about Cingulum’s application of TMS for neurological disorders and was honored to add her expertise to help bring this monumental treatment modality to the United States. That it’s first site was in her home, New Orleans, made it that much more of a “no-brainer”.

What is a hobby of yours outside of medicine?
Cooking with my husband Bill, and creating mixed media art.

How do you strengthen your own mental fitness?
Since retiring from full-time nursing practice, my current work actually keeps me sharp and fulfilled. I try to balance activity and rest.

What current medical research are you most excited about?
As the use of TMS for improving neurological deficits is new to me AND the U.S., I am excited about its application to a wider range of brain disorders and diagnoses. Using the research from Connectomics to visually quantify abnormal brain function, means we will be able to view patients with a new lens, effecting change faster, and hopefully help lift them out of the darkness and into a lighter place of clarity and improved function.
